Painting is Slow but Steady

No new pictures to post just yet, the painting is moving slowly but we are gradually making progress. I am currently taking a graduate class through LAtech and our log-in information was late in getting to us so I am already about 3 weeks behind in the class. But I will be working hard this week to catch up.

August Update

The house is racing along. We now have the plumbing and water run throughout the house. We have the tub, shower, and tub shower combo installed upstairs. I love this old house and hope to be in by Christmas. I also included some new photos of Sarah and Julie from our girls weekend in May. Time for another girls weekend.

The Addition has Begun!!

We are adding on to the kitchen and also adding a bathroom, closet, and laundry room downstares.

Working Hard

We have been working hard and steady. If the weather cooperates we will move along fast.

Pig Shows

While Charles has been hard at work on the house, the women in our family have been at the parish and district livestock shows. Hailey has two pigs Rouge and DJ. Rouge placed second in the parish fair but didn't make the cut at the district show. DJ who placed 6th at the parish fair placed 4th at district. My niece also shows and her pig Cayenne placed 1st and then won reserve grand champion for Louisiana bred duroc. Congratulations girls.

Porch Renovations

We are currently working on renovating the porch area in the house. Charles and Freddie are working very hard along with their helpers Thad and Devon. Downstairs will soon be rewired and hopefully by the end of today the new cypress boards will be on the outside of the house.

Christmas in Nola

We spent the day in the French Quarter and then went to see the lights in city park. It was a great way to get in the mood for Christmas. I know the post is late but I just uploaded the images from my camera.
